County Sligo Surf Club is a volunteer Surf Club on the North West coast of Ireland with a dramatic coastline and an abundance of waves of exceptional quality.

Founded in the early 1970’s, County Sligo Surf Club is one of Ireland’s oldest surf clubs. The club was established by community-minded individuals with a keen interest in surf sports, local heritage and our beautiful Atlantic Ocean and surroundings.

We are very lucky to have a number of ISA level 1 and 2 qualified coaches who volunteer their services throughout the year.

Through close links with Irish Water Safety www.iws.ie and the Irish Surfing Association www.irishsurfing.ie we train new coaches each season to work with all of our members.

We are active throughout the year and our busiest period is during the summer months; April – October. Members have the opportunity to partake in a variety of club activities including coached sessions, competitions and social events. We are a forward-thinking and innovative club. We take an active role in our community, promoting ocean knowledge, and respect for the environment. We work closely with other local clubs and organisations to foster positive links.

Would you like to help out?

We welcome anyone interested in becoming a volunteer, in any capacity, from surf coaching to social, and admin positions. Contact: enquiries@countysligosurfclub.com
