CSSC members have access to the surf club changing facilities at the National Surf Centre, Strandhill. Here is everything you need to know about accessing the facility.
Who can access the National Surf Centre facilities?
All current CSSC members can access the National Surf Centre facilities. You can find out more about joining the club here. Please note that due to CSSC child protection policies, a parent of a junior member using the Centre also needs to be a current member.
What times can I access the facilities?
Access cards will work between the hours of 07:00 and 22:00 during summertime. Notice of any changes to this time will be posted on this club web page.
I have found a club access card, how can I return it to its owner?
Please contact us at enquiries@countysligosurfclub.com.
What is the club policy on children using the facilities?
Parents should familiarise themselves with our child protection policies that can be found in the policies section of the website.
As a club with many young junior members we take child safety extremely seriously.
For parents/guardians It is extremely important to note that these changing facilities are shared facilities for all members including adult members.
It is therefore recommended that all junior members (16 and under) are supervised by a parent/guardian at all times while using the facilities. A parent accompanying a junior member using the Centre also needs to be a current member.
Can I share my access card with others?
You can share your access card with members of your immediate family if they are current CSSC members. It is a breach of a club rules to share your access card access with any persons other than club members within your own family unit.
Can I leave equipment or valuables at the facilities?
No, CSSC can take no responsibility for any loss or damage to items left in the changing rooms, and have no locker or storage options available to offer. Members may not store any items in the changing facilities beyond normal use during a surf session.
How does our club treats damage or anti-social behaviour at the facilities?
As a club we are very proud to call the National Surf Centre our home. Anyone receiving access should be respectful of the Centre facilities and do their utmost to keep our club areas something we can all be proud of.
Any damage or anti social behaviour should be reported to a committee member. Any wrongdoing by members will be governed by the club’s disciplinary procedures available on the club policies section of the website.
